The rare first edition of the first part of Smith’s excellent ‘Beat’ novel (English style). One of an unspecified number of copies form a limited edition with an original drawing by the author captioned ‘Limited edition “D”’. Eventually published in 8 parts in 2006, when the regular trade edition also was published, by Faber. A near fine copy (small area of soiling on the front and back, probably caused by the author when he signed).
